Do you ever feel the need for some peace and solitude?
Mother nature and Kedros travelling provide the solution.
Come with us in a lifetime experience and find yourself. We will visit a site of extraordinary beauty on mount Helmos of Peloponnese, and its peak of “Neraidorachi”. We will Bathe in the waters of the mythical spring and waterfall of Styx, where Thetis bathed Achilles in order to make him invincible, and sleep in a tent under the stars, with a breathtaking view of the milky way.
If that’ s not enticing enough, then think of this.
How does waking up with a warm cup of coffee, while watching the sun rise at 2.300 meters sound?
The whole trip is a photographers dream. We will have plenty of time to meditate and find ourselves, while filling our minds and camera’s memory card with images that will stay with us forever. The alpine scenery of the “Fairy’s shoulder” (Neraido-rachi) peak, will help us gather our thoughts, and the night sky will definitely reward our walking fatigue with a truly spectacular view of the milky way, where you feel like you can reach for the stars and grab them due to the altitude and low level of light pollution. This will surely make you feel one with the universe…
Then, after this unforgettable experience, we will visit the scenic village of “Kalavrita” at the foot of mount Helmos and have an opportunity to take more pictures, visit the Kalavrita holocaust museum and wander through the village’s streets filled with small shops selling local delicacies and other goods, and of course taste the local traditional cuisine. And for those of us who wish for more adventure, take a train ride on the famous rack railway through the “Vouraikos” canyon. We will spend the night in accommodation and have the time to rest properly, before we head home the next day. This will also give us an opportunity to reflect on the experience we had, as well as hang out as a team back in “civilization”… Until next time…

Aroania (Greek: Αροάνια), also known as Helmos or Chelmos (Χελμός, from South Slavic chlmo, “summit”), is a mountain range in Achaea, Peloponnese, Greece. At 2,355 m elevation, Aroania is the third highest mountain of the Peloponnese, after Taygetus and Kyllini, and the highest in Achaea. The largest town near the mountain is Kalavryta. The municipal unit Aroania took its name from the mountain.
Aroania is situated in southeastern Achaea, near the border with Corinthia. The slightly higher Kyllini mountain is about 15 km to its east, separated from Aroania by the valley of the river Olvios. The mountain Erymanthos is about 30 km to the west, across the valley of the river Vouraikos. The rivers Krios, Krathis and Vouraikos drain the mountain towards the Gulf of Corinth in the north. The river Aroanios drains the mountain towards the southwest, to the Ionian Sea.
The mountain is the site of the Aristarchos telescope and of a ski resort. Points of interest on the mountain include the Cave of the Lakes (Spilaio ton Limnon), the monastery of Mega Spilaio and the mountain town Kalavryta. Mountain villages on the mountain are Planitero and Peristera. There are several protected areas on Aroania.
